Project Management Certificate
Program Overview
Our accelerated Project Management Certificate program covers all topics in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and prepares you with the skills necessary to work as a successful project manager. All Project Management Professional courses are taught in-person at the UT Conference Center, 600 Henley Street, Knoxville.

Course Fee: $2,199. A $200 discount is available to UT faculty and staff, UT alumni, and PMI members. Please call our office to register at the discounted rate: 865-974-0150.
Required Text: A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide), 8th edition. The textbook is not included in the program fee.
Fulfills the 35 hours of training required to sit for the PMP certification exam.
Exam strategies will be incorporated into the classes.
Project Management Professional Course
The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification establishes a common language among project managers and helps them work within a common framework.
Once you have the PMP, you need to consider the best way to apply the processes, tools, and techniques you’ve developed to your projects. By sharing how you apply the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework and demonstrating your newly acquired skills through action, you’ll build your own personal brand within your organization as someone who can deliver.
Building on each success enables you to participate and lead on larger projects across your organization and allows you to branch out into other programs in different business units. By demonstrating greater competency through managing more complex projects, you’ll also be able to compete for more senior positions.
You’ll learn the hows, whys, and whens of projects and the best way to approach different scenarios.
